

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice where poses are held for 3-8 minutes with the support of props, allowing your body to release deep tension in the connective tissues, fascia and joints.
Unlike active yoga styles, Yin invites complete surrender: your muscles relax while gravity does the work.

This practice calms your nervous system, improves flexibility, restores energy flow through your body's meridian channels, and creates space for profound rest and self-awareness.
Winter, Water Element & Your Vital Energy
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter corresponds to the Water element. It's a time for turning inward, conserving energy, and nourishing our deepest reserves. Being rather than doing, slow down and restore.
The Water element governs the Kidney and Bladder meridians, the energy channels that hold your vital life force and willpower. When balanced, you feel resilient, grounded and deeply resourced. But when depleted, you may experience exhaustion, lower back pain, fear, or difficulty letting go.​


What we'll practice
Pranayama & Breathing Techniques: ground your nervous system and prepare your body for deep release through guided breathwork practices.
Yin Yoga Sequence: Long-held, supported poses targeting the kidney and bladder meridians along the spine, back body, and inner legs. We'll work with props to find your perfect edge of comfort and release.
Meridian Theory & Winter Wisdom: Learn about the energetic significance of these pathways and how to support them through the colder months.
Deep Relaxation: Extended Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to integrate the benefits and access profound rest.
Community & Nourishment: Close with warming herbal tea and a light snack as we ground together.
Who This Workshop Is For:
This practice is suitable for all levels - no previous yoga experience required. It's perfect for you if you're looking to release chronic tension, support your immune system through winter, balance your energy, or simply give yourself permission to rest deeply.
